The Brecon Beacons is a great place to come to if you have a love for fishing. From coarse fisheries in lakes and pools right through to top quality fly-fishing for salmon and trout on idyllic rivers the Brecon Beacons can provide it all.
The River Usk and River Wye can provide some excellent game fishing in the valleys of the park those who prefer the fight of the pike and perch can find excellent coarse fishing at Llangors Lake.
Fishing is an important contribution to the tourist economy in the Brecon Beacons but it’s not just ideal for the experienced angler. Throughout the season you will find courses, suitable for all ages, on offer at some of the locations to introduce you to the joy of fishing.
You will need licenses or permits to fish in the locations listed below, details are listed at the site. Don’t forget that if you are fishing on a river then you will also need an Environment Agency fishing licence which you can buy online or at a main post office.
