Add Event

It's easy to add a listing to LoveBreconBeacons.co.uk just follow the simple instructions and soon your listing will be published here.

The first thing to decide on is which package you want - free or a paid package with the extra benefits.

You then need to state if you are a business owner or not - you don't need to be a business owner to list the place or event so if you have a favorite restaurant or hotel you want to list and review go ahead and post it. Business owners are able to claim listings put up by other if they so wish.

For the address you can place just the town or a more detailed address including postcode to help others find the listing. Then press the set address on map button to display your listing on our maps.

You can then go through and fill in the boxes with the details of your listing. Depending on the package that you've chosen you will find some boxes grayed out because they are not available.

Once you've filled in all the details copy the captcha code into the box and click on the review listing, you can check you've filled out you forms correctly before submitting the listing. The listing will then go to review by the admin before being published. The admin reserves the right to change or remove details that may not be suitable.

When adding an event listing it is important to have both a start and finish date even if it is a one day event. Only putting in a start date will results in the listing not showing up.

LoveBreconBeacons runs the flickr gallery plugin so if you want to add some images from flickr you can easily do so using shortcodes (small code contained in square brackets). Use the code found at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/flickr-gallery/other_notes/ .

If you want to post a recurring event such as a weekly market then set up the event for one day - start time and finish time and start and finish date being the same etc - then choose the frequency of recurrance. You will only see the event listed once in the listings and calendar but once the event finishes it will be relisted automatically for the following week or month etc.
